The Land of Israel.
This is the land promised by God to Abraham, the father of our people.
It is the Promised Land to which Moses led the Children of Israel on our Exodus from Eqypt.
And it's the Land where, a thousand years ago, King David battled to turn our divided people into one unified Nation under God.

Synch Richard: To understand the teachings of Jesus, you should, you must know how people lived at the time, and it was based on the cycle of the year, with agriculture and appointed feasts and festivals.

Here In the land of Israel, the cycle of our Jewish life is intricately bound to the agricultural year.

As it says in Kohelet - the book of Ecclesiastes:
To everything there is a season, ...
A time for every purpose under heaven: ...
A time to be born ....
a time to die;...
A time to plant,...
And a time to reap (Ecclesiastes 3.1)

And all these times are marked by our festivals, that we call Chaggim.
