It's time to get my Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition out on the roads! After spending the first few months of its life without too much driving, the adventures are coming up so before it's on the move, let's go over to Gtechniq for the application of ceramic coating and discussion as to how it works!

While my Ford GT is in at Topaz Detailing for full body paint protection film, and the McLaren Senna is on display at Autosport in the Live Action Arena, the very bright orange Focus is called into motion to get prepared for what's coming. Gtechniq invited me over to their HQ and the Gtechniq Works Detailing Centre for Adam to give the car a proper wash down ahead of a polish and the application of Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra.

We will focus more on the ceramic coating itself upon my return next week as in order to apply the coat, one must first fully prepare and polish the car in order to get it in the best possible condition. The centre itself is used for training of their products for authorised detailing centres, including Topaz and you will find Gtechniq Crystal Serum on the top of the PPF on most of my cars as it gives you an additional layer of production and quality to the finish. For the time being, the Heritage RS starts off in the wash bay using a number of Gtechniq products to prepare it and decontaminate the surface, before going into the studio for the polishing process to begin. During the process, Adam walks us through what's going on and an explanation as to what exactly we're going to be doing.
