Mental Wellness and Sleep - Tip #5 - Slow down on That, Hello, I’m Mark Weisenburger your Mental Wellness Advocate.

What do I mean by slow on that? In today’s world people wake and have a cup of coffee or three. Stop at the gas station on the way to work and grab a soda (in that five gallon can) filled with caffeine. We grab another caffeine laden drink for break because we have to keep our engines going. Lunch rolls around and we can’t have that Keto burger without our caffeine soda. I think you know what I’m talking about.

I’m not her to tell you to stop drinking your coffee and soda. What I do recommend is, if you want to get a better nights sleep to help improve your mental health so you experience less stress, anxiety, and burnout I am suggesting you stop by 5:00 PM.

I use an all natural energy drink called Energy+ which has 55 MG of caffeine per serving, from green tea, and some herbs for better focus, alertness, and energy. I always make sure I’m done drinking it by 4:00 PM, otherwise I’m up way past my bedtime.

If you drink a lot of caffeine during the day and still struggle with sleep after stopping caffeine consumption by 5:00 PM, you may want to cut back a little during the day. Especially if you have implemented the previous tips.
