President Trump slammed Sadiq Khan on Saturday.
President Trump has resumed his verbal attacks on London Mayor Sadiq Khan--this time calling him "a national disgrace who is destroying the City of London!"
His Saturday post was a response to a Twitter user who had said, "Khan is the reason I don't feel like visiting London anytime soon."
That user had been commenting on Trump's earlier post where he had remarked about a spate of violent crime in London, writing: "LONDON needs a new mayor ASAP. Khan is a disaster - will only get worse!"
Despite Trump's criticisms, CNN has reported that "the spike in crime in many parts of the UK has also been blamed in part on successive cuts to police funding and officer numbers by the governing Conservative Party; a policy implemented when Theresa May was home secretary."
Khan has been a prominent critic of Trump and the president has repeatedly attacked him.
Earlier this month, during his UK visit, Trump told reporters that Khan "hurts the people of this great country."
