Hearty Pizza Burger Combines Two Fast Food Favorites

You're really hungry and food is almost within your grasp, except for one problem: an impossible choice — on the left a burger bar and on the right a pizza place. You want both, but only have room for one. The solution is simple: a tasty, filling combination of the two — the Pizza Burger.
You'll need (for 4 portions):
For the dough:
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp dried yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 0.3 fl oz olive oil
- 8.5 fl oz water
For the filling:
- 8.8 oz mozzarella
- 7 oz bacon, cooked
- 4 large tomato slices
- 17.5 oz ground beef
- 12 slices of pepperoni
Here's how:
1. Knead the ingredients for the dough well and leave it in a warm place for an hour in a bowl covered with a clean hand towel.
2. Take about a fifth from the finished dough, shape the rest into a ball and roll it out flat in a circle. Sprinkle the inside surface of a small bowl with flour and lay the dough inside. The dough should hang over the rim of the bowl. Press the dough gently against the bottom of the bowl and around the rim.
3. Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella inside the dough in the bowl, then top this with a few short slices of bacon, followed by a slice of tomato.
4. Form the ground beef into four burgers of equal shape and size and brown them on both sides. Feel free to season the burgers according to your personal tastes. Once your burgers are ready, place them on top of the cheese, bacon and tomato layers in your bowls containing the dough.
5. To seal the burgers in, use the last fifth of the pizza dough to make four small circles to lay over the burgers and the filling. Then take the dough hanging over the rim of the bowls and fold it inwards before pressing it down.
6. Turn the Pizza Burgers out of the bowls and place them on a baking tray. Cut a cross into the top side of the dough, before sprinkling it with a little mozzarella and place three slices of pepperoni on top of each one. Then back at 390°F for 10 minutes.
