Fire hits Manila residential area

MANILA – A fire hit a residential area in Sampaloc, Manila on Tuesday evening. The Bureau of Fire Protection said fire erupted inside the apartment of a certain Jay Giray at around 9 p.m. along San Diego Street. An unattended lit candle allegedly triggered the blaze. The fire was declared out after 20 minutes. No one was injured in the fire, but some 10 families lost their homes. – report from Francis Faulve, dzMM
