Samia Gamal 1944 El Boassa

This clip is from the 1944 El Boassa starring Amina Rizk and Abbas Fares. It is an Egyptian version of Victor Hugo’s classic Les Miserables which has been modernized to reflect life in 1940’s Egypt. This scene has Samia Gamal as the singer at a soireè, but this isn’t her real voice and the song is dubbed. Samia Gamal only appears in this one scene, she doesn’t dance in the film.
