Learn how to make Healthy & Flavorful 'Mutton Khichda' with our chef Varun Inamdar.

Mutton Khichda or Khichra is a variation of the dish Haleem, very popular amongst Indian Muslims throughout the world, especially during Ramadan.
Khichra is an extremely popular dish in Pakistan also, and it is sold as snack food in bazaars all year around. It is incredibly healthy and tasty both.

Ingredients:
(Serves 6)
- 1 cup Fried Onions
- 500 gms Marinated Mutton(boiled)
- 3 tbsp Emami Healthy & Tasty Rice Bran Oil
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Whole spices
- 2 Bay Leaves

Ingredients for Khichdi(Cooked Lentils & Broken Wheat):
- 300 gms Split Pigeon Pea
- 300 gms Split Brown Lentils
- 300 gms Split Green Gram
- 300 gms Split Bengal Gram
- 100 gms Broken Wheat

Method:
1. Heat a wok on a high flame and add Emami Healthy & Tasty Refined Rice Bran Oil
2. Now, add in half 3/4 cup of fried onions, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, whole spices, bay leaves, khichdi(cooked lentils & broken wheat) and Boiled & Marinated Mutton
3. Now mix all of this together and turn the flame to low
4. Cook it for around 10 minutes on low flame
5. When the red chilli oil comes on the surface, turn off the flame and serve it, by topping with the rest of the fried onions, coriander mint, and lemon juice
