Baghar wali Maash ki Daal:
Ingredients:
White lentil 1 cup
Salt to taste
Turmeric ½ tsp
Oil ¼ cup
Fried onion ¼ cup
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Whole red chilies 4-5
Green chilies 4-5
Green coriander for garnish
Method:
Boil white lentil with salt and turmeric. Heat oil adds cumin seeds; whole red chilies and green chilies when they start spluttering remove from flame. Now take out cooked lentil in a dish add baghar on top and serve.
Kashmiri Koftay:
Ingredients for qoftay:
Mince 300 gm
Bread slice 1
Onion 1
Green chilies 3-4
Salt to taste
Green coriander 2 tbsp
All spice 1 tsp
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Sesame seeds 1 tsp
For Gravy:
Fried onion 1 cup
Yogurt ½ cup
Oil ½ cup
Salt to taste
Green chili paste 1tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
All spice powder 1 tsp
Method:
Mix all ingredients of koftay and make balls then fry them. Blend yogurt and onion for gravy. Heat oil add yogurt mixture, ginger garlic paste, salt, green chili paste and cook well. Now add water for gravy then add koftay and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Then add all spice powder and serve.
