The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has released several phone recordings of conversations between former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak and others with regards to the 1MDB scandal.
MACC chief Latheefa Koya said the commission received the recordings from anonymous sources after the new year.
Speaking at a press conference in Putrajaya today, Latheefa said the recordings were revealed to the media as it concerned an issue of public interest.
She added that the recordings would be sent to the police for further action.
