The claim that a vote was recently held by the Conference of Rulers with regards to the addendum issue on former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s house arrest is false, says Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.  Speaking at his post-Cabinet media briefing on Friday (Feb 14), Fahmi stated that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has identified those responsible for the misleading social media post. 00:00I would like to touch on a claim that has been made in social media.

00:05It is said that in the recent King's Assembly,

00:10there was a vote, which was counted as 72.

00:20This is a game

00:29where, to be honest, there was no vote in the recent King's Assembly.

00:38In fact, what we know and understand about the process,

00:43even if there is a vote,

00:46it is only the ruling king who has the right to vote in the case.

00:56And from the picture that was posted on Sultan Ibrahim's official Facebook page

01:04about the recent King's Assembly,

01:10we can see there that Tuanku himself was not present,

01:17which means there were no nine votes.

01:21Therefore, for each party to make a fake news

01:26stating that there were 72 votes,

01:29which means there were nine kings who voted.

01:32But Tuanku was dry and not present,

01:36and Tuanku then, on Friday last week,

01:41left for medical treatment abroad.

01:47Therefore, MCMC and PDRM have identified a number of individuals

01:53who have been involved in spreading this fake news,

01:58which is indeed a third party,

02:01and will take action against them and other parties

02:06who continue to spread fake news

02:12involving kings like me.
