The country’s total number of COVID-19 cases is now close to the 7,000 mark, as the Department of Health (DOH) reported 271 new cases on April 23, Thursday afternoon.
Based on its latest case bulletin, the new cases raised the country’s total to 6,981.
The DOH also reported that the number of patients who have recovered is now at 722. Meanwhile, 16 more patients died, bringing the death toll to 462.
