The Department of Health (DOH) reported on April 30, Thursday, that the country now has a total of 8,488 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases.
The DOH said that it recorded 276 new COVID-19 cases as of 4 p.m. of Thursday.
In its latest case bulletin, the DOH also announced that there are 20 new cases of recoveries among COVID-19 patients. This brings the total number of recoveries to 1,043.
Meanwhile, 10 new fatalities have been recorded, raising the death toll to 568.
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the public should still expect the number of COVID-19 cases to continue to rise in the coming days. She added that the cases per day is between 100 to 200.
