The water crisis in the Eastern Cape is getting worse and emerging farmers are suffering. Agriculture experts say they’re stocking nearly half of the livestock that they used to. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Land Reform, Mcebisi Skwatsha, is doing an oversight visit in the Eastern Cape this week to assess problems faced by the drought-stricken farmers. Some are also locked in a dispute over drinking water for their cattle.
