A pioneer of frog breeding in France, Patrice François provides many restaurants from bistros to three-starred establishments across the country. But despite boasting 100,000 batrachians on his farm in the Drôme, restaurant owners remain constantly on the lookout for "made in France" frogs legs because there are only a handful of farms in France. "I didn't think it could be so complicated to breed," François Production's boss told AFP, amid dozens of frog-filled ponds set up under 2,500 square metres of greenhouses in a tropical bush.
