Major Zafar Bhatti is the eldest son of Shaheed Major Aziz Bhatti who fought the 1965 Indo-Pak war and became a martyr. While sharing his childhood memories Zafar Bhatti tells that his father taught him how to fire from a rifle. Usman Butt from UrduPoint interviewed Major Zafar Bhatti and asks him about the last memory he has about this father. Zafar Bhatti states that he came to know about his father’s shahadah after 10 days as the communication methods were not developed. His eyes welled up while sharing these memories. Further, he mentioned his father’s salary as well which was four hundred and fifty rupees. Major Aziz Bhatti received Pakistan’s highest military gallantry award “Nishan e Haider” for his services.
