Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the CoWin Global Conclave via video conferencing on Monday. India will be offering the CoWin platform as a digital means for other countries to run their Covid-19 vaccination drives. Batting for the spirit of cooperation and collaboration, PM Modi said the government’s move to make the homegrown CoWIN platform open-source and available to all was a hallmark of its ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is a family) philosophy. “Technology is integral to our fight against Covid-19. Luckily, software is one area in which there are no resource constraints. That's why we made our Covid tracing and tracking App open source as soon as it was technically feasible,” he said.
