Let’s take a quick look to history to see who won the rugby world cup!
1999 – Australia beats France, 35-12. This edition was held in Wales. Australia kept attacking and eventually won.
2003 – England beats Australia, 20-17. England were the favorites this year and they were beautifully leaded by Jonny Wilkinson during all the tournament.
2007 – South Africa beats England, 15-6. England had the advantage until François Steyn puts South Africa ahead 20 minutes to go.
2011 – New Zealand beats France, 8-7. Results are tights and players disputed a massive battle of physical attrition but yet again, All Blacks won.
2015 – New Zealand beats Australia, 34-17. The All Blacks found themselves against their traditional rivals, Australia. And thanks to their new coach Steve Hanen, they won, second time in a row.
2019 – South Africa beats England, 32-12. South Africa won fiercely against England and became the first team to win the world cup after losing a match in their opening..
