Slaves Respond To Criticism Over Their Band Name

"We are all slaves in this modern age, whether it be to our jobs, corporations, social media or society in general... we are all in this together," wrote Slaves on their Facebook page this weekend (May 4) in response to suggestions that two white men making music under the name Slaves, a word heavily associated with black and ethnic oppression, is problematic. In a separate interview, the band spoke to NME about the controversy, insisting they never intended to offend anyone.
