These Disabled Dogs Will Melt Your Heart | BEASTIES

THESE DOGS are proving to social media that having a disability doesn't mean you can't enjoy life to the fullest. Daisy and Dixie are a pair of canine sisters that have mobility issues and rely on wheel carts to get around. They were adopted by Sheena Yamazaki, who has been volunteering at animal shelters since she was a teenager. Sheena said: "Because of that connection that I already had with animals and especially for the voiceless ones that had really a sad background, I just really wanted to help them out and that is what really initially drew me into it." Known online as "Underbite Unite", Daisy and Dixie have amassed over 194,000 followers on Instagram with their heart-melting snaps and videos. Another pair of furry siblings that have also become 'influencers' are Picasso and Newt, two rescue dogs living at the Luvable Dog Rescue in Eugene, Oregon. Their owner Liesl said: "They are just making the most of what they have. And I think that spirit and that attitude are what people really relate to. They see these animals living their best lives, being accepted for being different and being accepted for being imperfectly perfect." And for eight-year-old basset hound Flynn, nothing can take away her smiling face, not even cancer. Stephanie, Flynn's owner, said: "Flynn is thriving now post-cancer. She's faced a lot of adversity but her tail keeps wagging. Her tail never stopped wagging."
