Lisa Jacobs was working as a lawyer, making a solid income, but dreading her day-to-day. She began wondering what the point of making so much money was when she had no time to enjoy it. She daydreamed of a new life reminiscent of her nomadic childhood.

Everything came to a halt when Jacobs tragically lost her mother to cancer. As those who have experienced loss can relate, Jacobs recalls losing herself as well. Faced with a life-altering tragedy, she felt like she had to rebuild from scratch. Jacobs suddenly grasped the brevity of life and was ready to change hers.

She chose to stop living life by the book and bought an old chicken taco delivery van, which she fittingly named “Freebird.” She took to the road to heal, explore, and adventure with her two loving cats by her side. Check out our latest episode of ‘Relocated’ for more of Jacobs’ story, expert tips, and the realities that come with mobile living.
