Shoppers told to throw plastic bags in the bin after recycling program suspended

The federal government has called on the big supermarkets to drastically reduce the use of soft plastic packaging after the only national recycling scheme for the product was put on hold. REDcycle has admitted it's been stockpiling plastics for months because it doesn't have anywhere to send them.
