On December 28, seven people died in a stampede in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. The deceased included a woman. The tragedy took place during a roadshow by the state's former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. People had gathered in large numbers for the roadshow. The stampede-like situation took place when people pressed each other forward to get a glimpse of Naidu. The injured are being given treatment at a local hospital. Naidu cancelled the meeting and announced Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased. Watch the video to know more.
