00:09 Thanks to All Recipes member Susan for sharing her recipe for creamy blueberry pie.
00:14 One All Recipes member says, "I'm 16 years old and this was one of my first attempts at pie making.
00:20 Not only is this recipe easy, but it also tastes great."
00:24 Let's begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.
00:28 Next, pour 3 cups of fresh blueberries that you've washed and dried into an unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie crust.
00:36 Now we'll make the custard for the pie.
00:38 Place 1 cup of white sugar into a medium bowl,
00:42 along with a third of a cup of all-purpose flour,
00:46 and an eighth of a teaspoon of salt.
00:49 Stir the dry ingredients together.
00:55 Next, add 2 beaten eggs into the dry mix,
00:59 and add half a cup of sour cream,
01:03 and whisk until a smooth custard forms.
01:07 Several All Recipes members suggest adding a teaspoon of vanilla to the custard,
01:11 so go ahead and do that if you like.
01:18 Pour the custard over the blueberries.
01:27 And now we can make the streusel topping.
01:29 Measure half a cup of white sugar into a small bowl.
01:32 Several All Recipes members suggest using brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
01:37 Now we'll stir in half a cup of all-purpose flour to the sugar.
01:41 Cut a quarter cup of butter into small pieces.
01:45 Add the butter to the flour and sugar,
01:49 and use a pastry blender to cut the butter into the flour and sugar.
01:54 If you don't have a pastry blender, you can use 2 knives.
01:57 The idea is to cut and mix the butter in until it forms coarse crumbs.
02:04 Sprinkle the streusel topping over the custard and berries.
02:16 Place the pie on a baking sheet for easier handling and to catch any drips,
02:20 and bake the pie in the preheated oven until it's light brown on top for 50 to 55 minutes.
02:27 Cool the pie on a wire rack before serving it.
02:30 One All Recipes member says the creamy blueberry pie is her favorite blueberry pie recipe.
02:36 She suggests making the pie with a graham cracker crust and baking it in a springform pan.
02:41 Sounds delicious.
