00:00 I am going to make a cash register for a doll using cardstock, a ruler and a pencil, pictures
00:24 from newspaper ads, and glue.
00:26 I start by drawing a rectangle onto a piece of cardstock.
00:33 I allow the lines to extend at the corners so I can make the sides of my tray.
00:39 And I make one of the sides a little longer than the others.
00:42 I make tabs out to the sides, cut it out, make cuts for the tabs, fold on the lines
00:54 drawn, fold the long side down, then glue the tabs to complete the tray.
01:02 I cut a long strip of cardstock that can fit inside my tray.
01:06 I fold it back and forth to make little creases.
01:12 I apply glue inside the creases, then push them back together, put glue in the bottom
01:21 of my tray, then set the paper with the creases inside.
01:27 I mark and measure, add a tab for the back, cut out a piece of cardstock.
01:35 I use my tray to mark the width for the sides, fold on the lines drawn, I glue and trim the
01:47 cardstock to make a sleeve.
01:50 I cut some buttons out of a newspaper or magazine, I glue it to the top, I cut out another picture,
01:58 glue it to a strip of cardstock a little bit away from the edge.
02:01 I fold over the end, then fold it again, then I fold the other side in, allowing there to
02:13 be a little bit of space between the two folds.
02:16 Glue down the sides, I fold another piece of cardstock a couple of times, glue it closed,
02:27 glue it inside the cardstock with the picture, and when gluing it down, I made sure I stopped
02:32 my glue a little bit before the edge, so that I could slide a card between the two folds.
02:37 I bend the end, glue it to the top of my box, fold more cardstock, I use pictures from the
02:44 newspaper to make a customer screen.
02:47 I take another strip of cardstock and begin folding it in from both sides, until they
02:52 meet at the center.
02:54 Now I allow it to uncurl just enough to make like a triangle.
02:58 I use glue to hold it in place, glue on small pieces of paper to cover the sides.
03:03 I can slide in a small piece of paper to be a receipt.
03:07 Glue it on top of the box, fill the cash drawer with dollhouse money, and you're done.
03:13 Happy Crafting!

03:44 The drawer can open and close, I can remove the receipt, and there's a card reader on
