00:00 Hi, welcome to another episode of Baker Make. I'm Angela Kopecky. Today I'm going to be
00:06 showing you how to make this Elsa doll cake. First we're going to roll out our white fondant
00:12 for the board. So just roll it out and we're going to place it over the board and then
00:19 just smooth it down with our hands. Grabbing a smoother, we're just going to smooth that
00:25 out. Just use our fingers there on the side. I'm going to be using a blade today, so just
00:32 cut around the edges there. Slice it there and remove the excess. I'm using four 7 inch
00:51 cakes today and we're going to stack them one on top of each other, placing them all
00:58 together. Now I've got a 5 cm cutter here. I'm just going to use that as a guide in the
01:05 center there. Taking a sharp knife, we're going to start sculpting the shape of this
01:14 cake. So slowly down to the end. Just using that circle in the center as a guide. Just
01:21 cut it all the way down. I'm going to shave those edges off there as well. Just make it
01:30 nice and smooth. We're going to take a 4 cm cutter there and we're just going to press
01:39 it down gently. Using a sharp knife, we're going to make the hole for where the doll
01:44 to sit. So just cut it all the way down to the end. I've got some chocolate ganache here.
01:51 You can use buttercream if you wish. We're just going to place that over the board so
01:57 we can stick our cake to this board here. Just start with each layer and fill each layer
02:05 in between. Smooth around the edges there of where our fillings were. Now we've got
02:12 our Elsa doll here and I've covered the legs in Glad Wrap there. We're just going to push
02:20 it down into that hole there all the way down to the bottom. Now I'm going to roll out some
02:28 white fondant here. Then just using a rolling pin on an angle, I'm going to push that down
02:35 and roll it out. Roll it out all the way. Lift it up. Just roll it out enough. Take
02:52 a pizza cutter and cut the ends off. Then we're just going to slice it on a curve. This
02:59 is going to go on the top part there around that section there. This is going to give
03:10 it a slimmer look when we put the fondant on for the dress. Take some chocolate ganache
03:19 here or buttercream and we're just going to smooth around the edge of the cake there and
03:26 right up to the top. Be careful not to go too high. Just fix up the top part. Now taking
03:34 a scraper, we're just going to scrape around the edge there all the way around to give
03:46 it a nice smooth finish. Just keep scraping it around until we get that nice even finish
03:53 there. I've got some royal icing here. We're going to place this on the center of the board
04:01 using the knife. We'll just spread it around there. Take a knife so we can lift up the
04:09 cake. Place it underneath and lift it up with your fingers. Lift the cake up and place it
04:16 on the board. Take the knife and place it down there. I'm using some icing sugar here.
04:24 You can use corn flour. We're going to roll out some blue fondant. Just roll it out and
04:35 then smooth it out with a smoother. I've measured a ribbon here. We can use a piece of string
04:42 enough for the dress. Just from the top of where the doll sits down to the end of the
04:50 cake. Taking a pizza cutter, we're just going to cut the sides off and the other side as
04:58 well. We'll just take our ribbon and we'll place it in the center there as a guide. Take
05:05 our pizza cutter and we're going to cut it on an angle or on a curve. Just move the ribbon
05:16 down. We'll cut the top part the same way on a curve. We'll just cut it on a curve.
05:27 I've got the cake here and I've just brushed it with some hot water. We'll lift up our
05:34 fondant there. I'm just going to place it at the front and work our way to the back
05:40 there. Just overlap that part. We'll just push this in and we'll just fix it up around.
05:52 Just pushing it up gently. Take a blade or a knife and we're just going to cut that excess
05:59 off there. Just smooth it in with our fingers. You can see here at the back, I've got some
06:19 gaps there but we'll be fixing that later on. Smooth it down and lift that part up there.
06:26 Take a smoother and we're just going to smooth out the fondant there. Now we're going to
06:42 fix up that bottom part there. We're just going to roll out some fondant and cut it
06:47 down. Just measure it there. We'll just lift up that piece and we're going to place that
06:54 fondant underneath it. Just like that. Just push it down. For the top part, I've just
07:02 cut out a little triangle, enough to fit. I've got a little tool here. It's like a shell
07:12 shape. We're just going to push down all the way. Roll out a long piece of fondant and
07:19 just cut the sides off. Put some sugar glue on the top part. We're just going to take
07:26 our piece and just bend it a little bit. Then just place it up over the top around to the
07:33 back. Take that little shell tool and just push it down. Just like that. Just like that.
07:41 Take that little shell tool and make little indents along that section there, all the
07:47 way around. I'm going to use two snowflake cutters here. I've just rolled out some white
07:54 fondant. We're going to cut them out. Just push it down. We'll just pop them out there.
08:01 You can buy these at any cake shop. We're going to do a few of those to decorate the
08:10 cake. Take some sugar glue and we're going to stick on those decorations there. This
08:17 is the part of the dress from the Elsa doll that I took off before. We're just going to
08:23 dress her back up again. Place it over the top. That's going to go over the top of the
08:30 fondant there. Now we're going to put some ribbon around the outside of the board. Just
08:38 take some sugar glue and place it all the way around the edge there of the board. Just
08:45 take our ribbon, starting from the back, holding it in one section and then just move your
08:54 fingers all the way around with the ribbon until you reach the end there. There we have
09:04 it, our beautiful Elsa doll cake from Frozen. As you can see, it was pretty easy to make.
