00:13 In a joint Instagram announcement, Melissa Clay Egan and her husband Matt introduced their new

00:18 son to the world. She posted on social media, "Meet Drake Joseph Catrossa, born on July 14,

00:24 23. Welcome to the world, sweet boy. Although a few weeks early, we are incredibly happy to have

00:30 you as our own and love you forever." Drake joins his big brother, Caden, who was born almost two

00:35 years ago on August 21, 2021. Egan's fellow cast members and friends from the daytime community

00:42 are already sending their warm wishes. Island debutant's son Ashley commented, "Congratulations

00:47 and so much love to you and your boys." Greg Ricard, Kevin wrote, "You guys." Melissa worried

00:53 way Abby expressed her excitement, saying, "OMG. Congratulations. Love you and can't wait to meet

00:59 the beautiful baby boy." Jane Lilly, formerly Teresa on Days of Our Lives, added, "I'm wishing

01:11 "Congratulations." Although Egan's pregnancy was not incorporated into the show's storyline,

01:17 it's unclear whether she will take a maternity leave from the show, or how it will affect

01:22 Chelsea's screen time. Egan first appeared in the daytime scene in 2006 as Annie Daughton on

01:27 All My Children, and stayed with the show until early 2011. She made a few favorable appearances

01:33 in July of that year, after it was announced that AMC was concluding its historic 41-year run.
