00:00 The Good Vibes Festival's concert organizers have slammed the 1975 singer Maddy Healy for
00:09 not abiding by the agreed-upon guidelines before last night's controversial show.
00:14 Earlier today, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fazil shut down the three-day
00:19 festival after Healy criticized Malaysia's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual laws
00:25 before kissing his male bandmate.
00:28 In a statement, Future Sound Asia says, "The 1975's management team reassured them before
00:33 the festival that Healy and the band would adhere to local performance guidelines."
00:37 However, it says Healy did not honor these assurances and therefore the show was halted
00:44 as promptly as feasible following the incident.
00:48 Moving forward, FSA says it is "committed to learning from this experience and taking
00:52 the necessary steps to reinforce communication with artistes and their management teams."
00:59 FSA also apologizes to all of its ticket holders, vendors, sponsors and partners and assures
01:05 that a refund mechanism will be identified as soon as possible.
01:09 Meanwhile, Puspal, the agency responsible for approving permits for foreign artistes,
01:15 said earlier today that a police report has been lodged and the 1975 has been blacklisted
01:20 from performing in Malaysia.
