00:00 Q: Sir update on the resignation of President Morales? "Kakalaroon ko lang. If you recall, nagkaroon ng pananawagan noon for the resignation of colonels and generals. And before that, nagkaroon ng resignation tinangrap noon ng dalawang general at dalawang colonel. And then after that, sinabi natin yung 32 na naiiwan, it will be reviewed by the 5-month advisory group.
00:27 So may binu-o na 5-month advisory group and they will go all over this list. So itong 5-month advisory group, kanila nireview ulit. And then coming from this list, ito'y binigay ngayon sa Philippine National Police para macheck din nila.
00:42 And the letter itself, nakita nyo naman yung sinabi na ito'y sulat na binigay ng ating PNP chief cordon na naglalaan ng mga nakasulat na 18 generals and colonels. At ito'y binigay sa ating Pangulo if he would like to accept it. At sinabi kahapon ng ating Pangulo that he is accepting the resignation of the 18 generals and colonels."
01:11 Q: How is the process? "Ganito yan. Once you accept it, that's it. Tapos na. So inaantay lang namin official communication on the ground. At pagkatapos ito, sabi ko nga kay chief PNP once you receive this communication officially na inaaccept na ito, you notify those people."
01:36 "So only for purposes, tinitinan po natin yun, but for purposes of resignation of acceptance, tinangap ito."
01:48 Q: So it's not just the PNP? "I'm not sure about that, about being held in a holding division. But ito mabilis na lang siguro ito once bumaba ang communication coming from Malacanang, they will just be informed. Ganun pasito, resignation is accepted."
02:05 Q: So wala na from the service? "Wala na."
02:10 Q: So what's the process when it comes to filing a case? "It's a resignation. Remember when I announced the resignation, I think it was last January, inulit ko yan, that is voluntary resignation. Inulit ko yan sa kanila. No one forced them to be doing this things. So it is on that premise that they submitted their letter of resignation and it was accepted."
02:38 Q: So there will still be charges filed against them? "We'll study that. Titindan po natin."
02:43 Q: If you found they are involved in drugs, di ba dapat may sanction yun? "Titindan po natin. Because ang pinag-usapan datin dito ngayon is there is first a voluntary resignation on that level. Ngayon, yung ibang aspects titindan po natin if it's really strong enough on that level for the criminal case."
03:08 Q: Resignation, meron pa sila matatanggap na benefits after resigning? "We'll study those things. Nakalatag po lahat yan."
03:13 Q: Versus dismissal, sana na? "Yes."
03:16 Q: So for now they're relieved from their posts, eventually they will be separated from the service? "I will clarify things. Until we receive the official communication because what we heard was just an announcement last night. So once there's now an official letter coming from the President na talagang accepted, ibababa na po yan sa PNP.
03:39 Kaya si Chief Acorda sabi ko once matanggap mo siguro you inform those names, those listed there para matapos na ito that the resignation has been accepted at wala na. You know, severed na."
03:54 Q: Aside from resignation, wala pa sir? "We still have to wait for the letter, Joyce."
04:03 Q: But since yung kanilang resignation is courtesy, wala na silang pagkakataon para i-appel pa? "Well, they submitted their resignation, it was accepted. It's as simple as that."
