00:02 First of all, to begin with, let me tell you,
00:20 it's not really an impersonation that I do
00:22 or that we as Elvis tribute artists, what we call ourselves,
00:25 Elvis tribute artists do.
00:27 Our only ambition is to pay a tribute to a great entertainer,
00:30 probably the greatest entertainer in the world.
00:32 I've been doing this since about 2014 or 2015,
00:34 about five years now.
00:36 So I think it was just a natural thing that came into me.
00:38 And you know, because my family owned a music store,
00:42 so I was always exposed to a lot of music at home.
00:45 We had a lot of records those days.
00:47 And so my dad used to get home lots of music for us
00:51 to listen to all the time.
00:53 What really struck me was a film that I saw on Elvis called
00:56 Elvis, That's The Way It Is.
00:58 It was a movie made on his 1969, '70 concerts in Las Vegas.
01:05 And that was a film that really inspired me.
01:07 I saw that film about eight times.
01:09 I was probably in college just--
01:10 in college, I think, at that time.
01:12 I really became a big fan of his after seeing that movie.
01:16 That every time he sang songs, he sang it in such a way
01:19 that he made--
01:20 I mean, there were millions listening to him at the same
01:22 time, or thousands listening to him.
01:23 But he made every woman there feel
01:25 like he was singing this song to her only, and only to her.
01:28 That was his ability to sing on stage.
01:32 I was enjoying myself.
01:33 People were enjoying my show.
01:34 So I said, let me invest in a couple of costumes.
01:36 So the first one I bought was the one that Elvis
01:40 wore in 1973 in Hawaii.
01:42 It's called the American Eagle jumpsuit.
01:44 It's probably one of his most well-known,
01:46 because that was a widely televised show
01:48 all over the world.
01:49 That costume was shown all over the world.
01:50 I found the material that I thought would suit a costume.
01:53 I found buttons, different kinds of buttons, shapes,
01:56 sizes, stainless steel, various kinds of buttons,
02:00 and tassels, and belt, and more tassels to put on the belt.
02:04 And I just put it together.
02:05 I made myself a pair of white heeled boots.
02:09 Put it together and got myself a wig made.
02:11 I went to a wig maker.
02:12 I love it.
02:12 It's my passion.
02:13 And I'm so happy that God has given me the strength
02:18 to actually follow this passion.
