00:26 Earlier, FMT reported that Abdul Malik Dastegir, or more commonly known as Dato Malik, had

00:31 been detained by MACC.

00:33 Malik, the founder and chairman of Malik Group of Companies, is well known for bringing in

00:37 artists from India to perform Tamil concerts in Malaysia.

00:41 The circulation of widely shared pictures featuring Saravanan alongside Malik has sparked

00:46 rumors that the former minister would be called in for questioning by MACC.

00:50 However, Saravanan said it was not a crime for any businessman to take a picture with

00:55 him just like many others when he was out in public.
