00:25That's right, this is a beautifully stacked nasi lemak one paku sandwich.
00:31It's only been two months since they hit the road, but word about this eye-catching food
00:36truck has already spread like wildfire.
00:39FMT Lifestyle visited them near Maybank at Sunway Giza in Kota Damansara to find out
00:46what all the hype is about.
00:48It all started with Lotus and her obsession for nasi lemak.
00:53I don't know, if you ask me 30 days, 365 days, any food, any time of the day, I think
00:59I'll take nasi lemak.
01:01And that's why it's their signature item, served with her mother's 30-year-old ayam
01:06baruwal recipe.
01:08Packed with onion and a tangy kick, the ayam baruwal comes in three levels of spiciness.
01:15Pedas manju, pedas okejuh, and pedas gila.
01:19With each level having more kashmiri chili flakes.
01:23Pick your spice level and Praveen Dhun, who was once a mixologist, will gonchang it all
01:28together.
01:29Some people will usually like, they just stir and mix them, you know, like gaul, but it's
01:40gonchang.
01:41So it's like I'm holding a shaker, I do a cocktail or I do a mocktail, right?
01:47Basically, you cannot take the bar out of me.
01:50We tried the okejuh version and oh boy, was it spicy.
01:54It's hot, yeah?
01:56And I'm sweating to the gut, but this is quite safe.
02:08My lips are burning.
02:10But it's so good.
02:12Yet it's hard to stop eating as the pandan-flavored rice and the sambal, which is slow-cooked
02:18for seven to eight hours, vegetarian and on the sweet side, perfectly complement the heat
02:24of the baruwal.
02:26What about the sandwich then?
02:28It starts off with sambal, anchovies and peanuts and is then layered with generous pieces of
02:33the same chicken baruwal, colorful crunchy veggies and a fried egg.
02:38This is an absolute must-try.
