00:05 So we're making homemade chicken nuggets
00:07 where the main ingredient is chicken.
00:08 These chicken nuggets are just made
00:10 with boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
00:12 I'm just gonna take a couple
00:13 and then just cut 'em up into bite-sized nuggets.
00:17 Yes, these are gonna be healthier
00:18 because they can come together in the oven
00:20 and they're still gonna get crispy.
00:22 I know you're gonna ask,
00:24 they can also be made in the air fryer.
00:26 We're gonna follow the same recipe,
00:27 you're just gonna cut the time in half.
00:29 All right, my coating is gonna be super flavorful.
00:31 I'm using seasoned breadcrumbs
00:32 along with some Parmesan cheese,
00:34 a little bit of dried basil and thyme, and some salt.
00:37 Use this recipe as a guide.
00:40 You can flavor this however you want.
00:41 You can make some spicy chicken nuggets,
00:42 add in some cayenne pepper.
00:44 Leave out the seasonings if you want 'em super plain.

00:48 To coat them, I'm just gonna dip the chicken nugget
00:50 in melted butter and then straight to our breadcrumb mixture.
00:53 Gonna lightly grease a baking pan
00:55 and then just lay them out in a single layer.
00:57 These are hearty-sized nuggets, but my kids are older.
01:02 So if you have smaller kids,
01:05 you could make this more of a popcorn-sized chicken.
01:08 My kids are gonna be like, "Mom, you're so cheap."
01:10 They'd really just rather go through the drive-thru,
01:11 but I am who I am.

01:22 With this recipe, I can get at least
01:23 a couple dozen chicken nuggets for less than 10 bucks.
01:27 You won't find that in a drive-thru or the freezer section.
01:29 This just goes into the oven, 400 degrees,
01:31 for about 20 minutes until they're good and crispy.
01:34 Let's be real, they're gonna be better in the air fryer.
01:38 I'm putting batch two in the air fryer.
01:40 I just can't help myself.
01:41 I know they're gonna be crispier.
01:43 Another thing is you can do it at the same temperature,
01:45 400, for half the amount of time.
01:47 Sizzly, golden, they smell amazing.
