FOXBORO, MA -- The offensive unit of the Patriots just had their most impressive practice session since training camp kicked off, thanks to noteworthy contributions from Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe. Christian Gonzalez has been a steady presence at the outside corner throughout camp, consistently delivering powerful performances. The Jones duo, Jonathan and Marcus, have alternated throughout most of the camp, taking turns both at the outside and in the slot. However, today saw Jack Jones taking the lion's share of the repetitions. CLNS Media's Taylor Kyles recaps Day 4 of training camp!

00:00 What's going on everyone, it's Taylor Cowles here for CONS Media.
00:03 The Patriots offense had their best day of practice on what should be the last day
00:07 of non-padded training camp sessions.
00:09 Bailey Zappi in particular stood out with his best day of camp,
00:12 which included several touchdown throws.
00:14 One of these was a fade route to Jalen Hurd on what Zappi described after
00:18 practice as a route adjustment based on what he saw pre-snap.
00:21 Tyquan Thornton also finally emerged with his first two catches of training camp,
00:24 both of which came in low red zone periods,
00:27 with him keeping both feet in when he was near the boundary.
00:29 Sixth round rookie Demario Douglas is also starting to stack good practices
00:33 together, and he's emerging as a favorite target of Bailey Zappi,
00:36 specifically on underneath throws.
00:38 Now the one low light from Bailey Zappi came on an interception to Jalen Mills,
00:42 which Mills described as a play he actually recognized after getting beat on it by
00:45 Matt Sokol earlier in training camp.
00:48 He said he studied the film, was able to get underneath the route, and
00:51 made a play.
00:51 Now, Mack Jones in the starting offense did look good,
00:54 particularly when they were doing two minute drill with more space to work with.
00:58 But once they got into the red zone,
00:59 the offense stalled out due to pressure and a lack of separation.
01:03 Jones, however, looked consistently good with well-placed throws and
01:06 not making any mistakes in another interception-free practice.
01:10 The Patriots cornerback room also had an eventful day.
01:13 On the unfortunate end, Marcus Jones had maybe his worst day of practice after
01:16 losing for several touchdown throws.
01:18 On the bright side, Christian Gonzalez and
01:20 Jack Jones both got their hands on passes, which were nearly intercepted.
01:25 Jack Jones actually lined up opposite Christian Gonzalez for
01:27 the first time in team drills since training camp started.
