00:31 And the people of Porto Santo are known as resilient and resourceful people, and the mills demonstrate this.
00:37 The mills were made with the wood that was washed ashore because there was no such resource available on the island.
00:43 Another resource that was very scarce on the island of Porto Santo was the water to maintain the population.
00:52 At one time it was even thought that it would be better to transport everyone to Madeira and this territory to be deserted.
00:58 The wells were places where people waited to fill their jars and took opportunity to sing, tell stories and even date.
