00:00 Ukraine and Croatia have agreed on the possibility of using Croatian ports on the Danube and
00:07 the Adriatic Sea for the export of Ukrainian grain. The deal was part of talks between
00:12 the two countries` foreign ministers in Kiev.
00:15 Russian airstrikes have destroyed an estimated 180,000 metric tons of grain crops in the
00:21 space of nine days this month. Two weeks ago, Moscow pulled out of a grain deal that had
00:26 allowed safe passage of food exports through the Black Sea. Ukraine is a major exporter
00:32 of grain and the deal brokered by the United Nations in Turkey last year kept people fed
00:38 all over the world.
00:39 We have agreed on the possibility of using Croatian ports on the Danube and the Adriatic
00:46 Sea for the export of Ukrainian grain. We will now work to implement as many routes
00:53 as possible to these ports on the Danube to maximize the use of this opportunity. But
01:00 every contribution to the unblocking of exports, every open door is a real active contribution
01:07 to the food security of the world.
01:15 The death toll from Monday`s Russian attack on an apartment building in Krivyi Rih rose
01:20 to six with dozens injured. The U.N. says Ukraine`s humanitarian needs are increasing.
01:27 Our humanitarian response plan is only 30 percent funded. It`s almost first of August,
01:33 but it gets cold very early in Ukraine. We have thousands and thousands of damaged houses,
01:39 apartment blocks since last winter, right? So, this is additional damage on top of what
01:44 we had to deal with last winter.
01:48 The U.S. is to attend August Ukraine peace summit in Saudi Arabia, although Russia has
01:53 not invited its hope China will send a delegation.
