00:00 Welcome back once again.
00:03 And in our country, kids are moving forward so fast.
00:09 Thank you so much.
00:10 They are making their name in different fields.
00:12 For appreciating me.
00:13 I was talking about youngsters.
00:14 I didn't talk about those who are sitting with me.
00:17 Talented and youngsters.
00:19 Okay, so Karachi's...
00:20 Because there are youngsters like me in the team.
00:22 Anyway, I will tell Ashfaq to drink your tea.
00:26 I will tell the viewers that I am going to introduce you to a girl.
00:31 She is only 14 years old.
00:34 But she has surprised the world with her talent.
00:38 And what she did?
00:40 Her name is Zonish Baksh.
00:41 Recently, she has defeated 45 ambassadors of Malaysia.
00:45 You can imagine how competent people will be there.
00:48 She has named herself as the best diplomat award.
00:51 And she is a student of Niji School.
00:53 She was sent to Kuala Lumpur Diplomat Conference.
00:56 Where she was the youngest.
00:57 Whereas other young girls...
00:59 Young girls?
01:00 Should I tell you?
01:01 From 55 to 55.
01:02 She was there for 55 years.
01:04 Here, Zonish presented the best ideas for the issue of international relations.
01:09 In fact, she proved it with her arguments and surprised everyone.
01:12 Among these ideas, the best idea was declared.
01:15 Which she presented.
01:16 And she was awarded the best diplomat award.
01:19 Let's talk to Zonish.
01:21 She is with us in the studio.
01:23 She is in Lahore, but in Karachi.
01:25 She is at the set of Bakhabar Saveria.
01:27 Thank you so much for coming here and joining us.
01:31 What was the idea that you presented to people?
01:35 And they accepted that you are better than the most.
01:38 First of all, thank you for inviting me here.
01:40 And about best diplomat, the topic was...
01:43 How to prevent online exploitation in the digital age for children.
01:47 We were supposed to find a solution on how children cannot be exploited online.
01:52 So what we did was, we created this umbrella subsidiary.
01:55 In which every country has this one NGO, which is controlled by the governments...
02:00 Who collaborate with the technological companies.
02:02 If you answer in Urdu, so that our millions, billions, billions of people can understand.
02:08 Basically, it is that government and technological companies...
02:11 Like Pakistan's government and YouTube.
02:13 They will collaborate.
02:14 Pakistan will tell YouTube's people that our people are facing these problems.
02:19 Our children are being exploited like this.
02:21 So in that way, YouTube will change its policies.
02:23 So the governments and technological companies will work together and change their policies.
02:28 And why will YouTube listen to us?
02:29 Because we will give them incentives.
02:31 We mentioned this in our resolution.
02:32 We will give incentives, for example, tax grants.
02:35 These things or we will say, make YouTube kids.
02:38 Because you can profit from that and you can profit from YouTube.
02:41 So both ways it is safer for kids and you earn more profits.
02:44 That was our idea.
02:45 And the other participants with you, was there no age limit?
02:51 Was it like this?
02:52 Sort of like this, but they called basically...
02:55 They called those people who wanted to experience how to become a diplomat.
02:59 So all age groups can come in that.
03:01 So there were more kids of your age?
03:03 There was no one of my age.
03:04 I was the youngest one there.
03:06 Maybe 16th to 17th, most of them were above me.
03:10 Apart from that, there were 15, 25.
03:12 And you know, Zonish, your idea is being debated all over the world.
03:16 That we are going towards digital age.
03:19 And we don't have any data about privacy.
03:22 No laws exist in Pakistan, obviously.
03:24 Work is being done on this.
03:25 Now, an authority is also being established, which is on the side of PTA.
03:29 So the thing is, my question to you, tell me.
03:32 Because nowadays, the companies are richer than the countries.
03:37 YouTube, Metaverse, all these things.
03:40 You know, these guys are very rich.
03:42 So how much does our influence matter to them?
03:45 Diplomatic influence.
03:46 Because our influence matters because technological companies are getting customers.
03:51 They are getting their customers.
03:52 However, those customers are getting harmed.
03:54 And who are those customers?
03:55 Our government people.
03:57 When our government people are getting harmed,
03:59 then technological companies need to make a change.
04:01 Otherwise, cases can be filed against them.
04:03 The award that you have won, Best Diplomat.
04:06 What is this?
04:08 And what are the doors that open for you to win this award?
04:12 Best Diplomat Award is basically, in the MUN, it's the highest thing.
04:16 So for example, Best Delegate, Best Diplomat.
04:18 These are the awards.
04:20 These are the doors that open for diplomacy and international relations.
04:23 So you will pursue your career on this side as well?
04:25 Career, sort of, I am going towards doctor or software engineering.
04:29 But this I can't do.
04:30 But you can tell any career diplomat.
04:32 You can tell any career diplomat, I was 14 when I won this award.
04:38 International relations, maybe a UN diplomat.
04:41 To represent Pakistan in the UN.
04:44 What other ideas were presented there?
04:47 Other ideas, there were other stuff such as ban kids from the internet.
04:50 However, that was not suitable.
04:52 Total ban?
04:53 Total ban, as in you don't allow kids to watch certain stuff.
04:56 But you don't put restrictions on them.
04:58 Because that's not freedom of speech or freedom of expression.
05:01 So we said that we have to stop on our side, we can't ban kids.
05:05 But there has to be a controlled freedom.
05:07 Exactly, so we said, like YouTube, YouTube kids, Amazon, Amazon kids.
05:12 So kid version, with which you can also earn profit.
05:14 Tell me, going there on such a big stage, people from all over the world must have come.
05:18 So at any moment, there is no nervousness or any problem?
05:21 Yes, in the beginning, when I entered the room, I was nervous.
05:26 But my parents, especially my father, supported me a lot.
05:31 They gave me proper coaching.
05:34 So when he comes home, I keep asking him about my research.
05:37 And he helps me, he teaches me a lot of stuff.
05:39 And what do you use for research?
05:42 For research, mainly just Google.
05:44 But like I said, my father helped me a lot.
05:47 Because when he comes home, he knows a lot about the world.
05:49 He has his own business, so he knows a lot about export, import, customs.
05:53 So when I ask him, I get personal advice from someone I know.
05:58 So that's really helpful.
05:59 Thank you, thank you so much, Zonish, for coming in the show.
06:02 And see how the kids are moving forward.
06:04 And what ideas they have.
06:06 By the way, the youngsters, they are full of ideas.
06:09 Thank you so much for appreciating me as well, Sadaf Abdul Rahman.
06:12 Break, break, break.
