00:31 the best Sheffield shop there's ever been has been? Well we used to come to town for Wilson and Peggs,
00:36 music shop, music sheets, records and everything and musical instruments. What did you like about it?
00:42 Well at the time it was vinyl records, LPs, singles, music, so it was a main place and they sold
00:54 keyboards and music, guitars and musical instruments. So it was a meeting place for I suppose
01:01 everybody was in a band or wanted to buy something. For me it was the old Coal Brothers on the corner.
01:09 Do you mean the one at the bottom of Fargate? Yep, yeah definitely. What was like what was
01:15 like about it? Well it had the old charm you know, the modern shops, they're not the same
01:24 anymore you know. Could you tell me what your favourite all-time shop is and the best shop
01:29 Sheffield's ever had please? Yeah we always used to come to Sheffield to go to Coal Brothers because
01:34 I can remember getting my material for my wedding dress and then my first child picking pram so it's
01:40 got a lot of good memories and it was a brilliant department store. What do you think the best
01:46 shop Sheffield ever has been? Cockhaines was a very very good shop, Coal Brothers and all the
01:55 shops on here. Did you mention the toy shop as well? What was the toy shop? Red Gates, Red Gates was a wonderful shop
02:02 and then Atkinson's down the moor, that was one of the best shops. But after the war obviously a lot
02:10 was destroyed so yeah there was not a lot left. Could you tell me please what the best shop
02:17 Sheffield ever had was? John Lewis. What did you like about it? Oh I just love going in and shopping, lovely shop.
