00:00 >> Lever of Ryan looks like he's kind of been able to step up in the first couple
00:03 days of practice.
00:04 What did you see from him on film as a recruiting kind of what does he carried
00:07 over into the fall camp?
00:08 >> We watched a lot of them.
00:10 We've seen him in camps.
00:11 We saw him play live and he's a competitive kid that had a skill set.
00:16 He was a three sport athlete.
00:17 He was a really good basketball player.
00:19 He's a really good baseball player.
00:21 Very mature.
00:22 So he's just he's soaking in the playbook.
00:25 I mean, he was a kid that had a goal.
00:27 And he wants to chase it and the one thing about him, he was all section
00:32 basketball player and he gave up basketball to focus on getting ready to come here.
00:37 So he's a dedicated kid.
00:39 >> How common is that?
00:40 Cuz it seems like more and more guys, especially defensive backs,
00:42 are coming from playing basketball.
00:43 They have some roots in basketball.
00:45 Do you see a similarity in training?
00:46 >> Yeah, some play.
00:47 The ones that play and play football, you really get to see their short area
00:50 quickness, how they can change the direction.
00:52 Cuz you got the basketball dudes are coming at you.
00:54 You gotta go in and out.
00:55 And so that's the one thing we really liked about him is that he had really good
00:59 quicks in the short area.
