00:04 entering the portal just to kind of see other options out there.
00:08 I mean, I respect their decision to go do that.
00:10 Obviously, I try my best to keep everybody home.
00:12 Cuz I know the talent that we can bring in.
00:15 I mean, just because we went, we have unfinished business.
00:17 I mean, we lost the national championship.
00:19 That's what it is.
00:20 And I mean, we're still looking for that national championship win,
00:23 just like how we have in 1991.
00:25 So kind of going back, I mean, I thought about the idea of leaving, but
00:28 it never really came across my mind as something I wanted to do.
00:31 I mean, I grew up around here.
00:33 I got my family ties here.
00:34 And it's a place I truly love to be, enjoy being at.
00:38 So really when Fish came in, I met with Fish several times and
00:41 just kind of talked to him.
00:41 And I mean, even the first meeting with him,
00:44 just the kind of guy he is and the conversation we had.
00:47 I was like, yep, it's awesome, it's go time.
00:49 So I mean, I didn't really think too much about leaving.
00:52 This is my home and this is where I wanna be.
00:53 >> Now, you touched on it a little bit, just initial impression of Fish.
00:56 It sounds like you got to meet him a couple of times.
00:59 Obviously, he's different than Kalen, and
01:00 there's no signs of Kalen, which Jeff like as a player.
01:03 >> Yeah, I mean, he's an awesome guy.
01:05 And I can't really even compare, obviously both coaches are very different.
01:09 And I mean, Jeff Fish, I mean, he's done a lot of Arizona,
01:13 especially bringing them from really winless or
01:15 one win all the way up to ten wins last year.
01:17 So he has a great track record as well.
01:19 And I mean, him coming in here, just kind of meeting with him and
01:21 just hearing his visions, his talks, and just talking even one on one.
01:25 And seeing the personal side of everything and I mean, cut all the BS.
01:28 He's going, he's telling me real on how he views this program moving forward.
01:32 And that's something that I wanted to be a part of.
