00:00 In the meantime, let's take you live now to North Allerton,
00:02 where four Greenpeace protesters who spent the morning
00:05 on the roof of Rishi Sunak's constituency home
00:08 in North Yorkshire have come down this lunchtime.
00:11 Let's speak to our North of England correspondent,
00:12 Greg Mylam, who is live outside the Prime Minister's home.
00:15 Good afternoon to you, Greg.
00:16 So they're down now, but how did they get up there
00:18 in the first place?
00:19 Yeah, they are down, and I think we've got a sign,
00:22 as we just saw the last one come down,
00:24 of quite the elaborate process that's involved
00:26 in mountaineering your way up a house like this.
00:30 They came down in the last few minutes
00:32 to the welcoming arms of the North Yorkshire Police Force,
00:35 and we expect to see them leave at some point soon.
00:37 A number of police vans have gone into that property.
00:40 But it was first thing this morning
00:42 that they made their way up onto the roof of this house.
00:46 The Prime Minister, of course, not here.
00:48 He's on holiday, as he told the country yesterday
00:50 in California, but armed with ropes and ladders
00:54 and clearly equipped for climbing,
00:55 they made their way up onto the roof of this property
00:59 and then unveiled that, a couple of things really,
01:02 this fabric, 250 square metres of black fabric
01:05 draped down the front of the house
01:07 as a protest against that decision to give permission
01:10 for more drilling licences in the North Sea
01:12 for oil and gas, other banners about no new oil
01:16 unveiled as well.
01:17 And there they sat for several hours as the police arrived.
01:21 It is a protest, as I say, about those new licences
01:24 and what Greenpeace say is an indication
01:26 from the Prime Minister of more potentially as well.
01:29 They say he is a climate arsonist, in their words,
01:33 when the country and the world needs a climate leader
01:35 holding a blowtorch to the planet.
01:38 The response from Number 10 on this incident
01:42 was that the police were managing this situation,
01:45 but also saying they make no apologies
01:47 for that decision by the Prime Minister
01:50 to ensure energy security for the UK
01:53 so that the UK isn't reliant on people like Vladimir Putin,
01:57 they say, investing in renewables as well
01:59 and securing British jobs.
02:01 But it shows you the strength of feeling
02:02 and we've seen plenty of high profile climate protests,
02:05 haven't we, over the last year or so,
02:07 but this one pretty audacious
02:09 and one that certainly has sent an image
02:11 that Greenpeace will be very happy about
02:13 around the country and around the world.
02:15 But as I say, the last of those protesters
02:17 are now down from that roof after quite a lengthy process
02:20 to get them and their equipment down.
02:21 And we await word from North Yorkshire police
02:24 as to what has happened to them.
02:26 And of course, we see that debate
02:29 about the point they've made continuing as well.
02:32 - Okay, Greg, thank you.
