00:00 Okay, um, what the heck is Taylor Swift doing with these surprise songs?
00:03 So if you haven't heard by now, Taylor Swift gave Los Angeles Night 3 not only one but
00:08 two recycled surprise songs, yes we'll call them recycled because that's a term I saw
00:11 someone use on the livestream, and I think it's pretty aptly put, Taylor Swift is repeating
00:15 her surprise songs and it's leaving all of us yearning for the songs she hasn't
00:19 done yet, like "That's The Way I Loved You", "Foolish One", and all those
00:22 songs she skipped en route to repeating these songs again.
00:26 Like what the heck is she doing?
00:28 In this video I just want to talk about why I think she's doing this, and yes it has
00:32 to do with the Airstore movie but I also think it's more than just that.
00:35 However if you're new to the channel be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any
00:38 Taylor Swift updates, but let's talk about "Death By A Thousand Cuts".
00:55 Now if you haven't heard, Taylor Swift does a rule that I think she actually created when
01:00 playing DBATC, yes that's the acronym for the song, in Arlington, Texas way back before
01:06 near the start of the Airstore, gosh if only I had started doing lives for you all then
01:10 right?
01:11 She made a rule where if she messed up the surprise song she would do it again, and she
01:18 messed up the bridge for "Death By A Thousand Cuts".
01:24 Back in Texas twice, and she certainly wasn't going to make that mistake again because she
01:30 absolutely killed that bridge in LA.
01:36 By the way it would have been so funny if she did mess up again though, because that's
01:42 honestly just one of the greatest memories we'll have from the Airstore, and I did
01:46 cover her messing up back in Arlington on this channel, but while that explains the
01:59 Death By A Thousand Cuts, no mess up recycled LA night 3 surprise song Taylor's version,
02:05 yes make that an acronym right now to take down that super long all too well acronym,
02:09 we should talk about also "You're On Your Own Kid".
02:15 I could not believe this when she started singing it, like I heard the chords but I
02:20 couldn't quite process what was going on because this song wasn't even on my radar.
02:24 I know Maroon was repeated last night but I didn't expect "You're On Your Own Kid"
02:32 to come back as well.
02:33 It wasn't a messed up song for those of you who didn't know, it was played in Tampa
02:37 and I remember that pretty clearly because it was a banger surprise song and I probably
02:41 wanted the best ever, off the top of my memory I think they also got The Great War which
02:46 is just one of the best tracks out there mind you, but "You're On Your Own Kid" is
02:52 a great song because of the bridge of course, but I think the real reason she played it
02:59 was because of the film crew, they were filming the Airstore documentary or at least rumored
03:05 to be in LA, and there's plenty of evidence to suggest that but I think that just means
03:09 Midnight's tracks, the ones she wants to showcase outside of her setlist are fair game
03:15 for repetition.
03:16 So we could get Labyrinth, Sweet Nothing, or Question just because all those songs are
03:22 still left and could be done for the LA Airstore documentary.
03:26 I also want to mention for those of you who haven't went to the Airstore, "You're
03:29 On Your Own Kid" is the first song that starts playing after the show ends and everyone starts
03:33 exiting the stadium.
03:35 However we have 6 surprise songs left and I'm manifesting I Know Places and New Romantics
03:40 for the last day with a 1989 Taylor's Version announcement and these 4 surprise songs which
03:46 I think could definitely feature more Midnight's representation.
03:50 Regardless though, if my theories actually come true, I'm just curious if people like
03:54 getting repeat surprise songs just in general, I feel like it kinda takes away from the novelty
03:59 of it a bit.
04:00 Plus I also want to note her speeches for surprise songs have been getting a bit shorter,
04:04 she seems to have done pretty long speeches like she did in Chicago when I went.
04:27 But right now she seems to be more just diving into the piano especially which is cool but
04:31 I also like the speeches because they are unique and something that builds suspense
04:34 but anyhow just pointing things out that I don't think people are noticing.
04:38 And while we're getting repeats for these surprise songs again, let me know what you
04:42 all think about these recycled surprise songs down below.
04:44 It was a really fun 3 nights in LA with you all and I'm glad to be doing 3 more so see
04:50 you all tomorrow.
04:51 Over and out.
04:51 and out.
