00:00 I'm back at Brighton Palace Pier for the last part of my walk, so I can navigate in Brighton home.
00:04 This last bit is quite long, it's basically a straight line, there's no directions to tell you
00:11 but I thought I might tell you some of the things you'll see en route, so you know it's worth doing.
00:16 After the Vaux railway centre you can cross the line and come down onto here, the English
00:23 coastal path, so that'll bring you even closer to the sea. So I think that's a good idea, that's
00:28 what I'm doing.
00:30 Now it's up to you if you think this is cheating or not, but the Vaux railway runs from right side
00:49 Brighton Pier all the way along to here, right near the marina, so you could take that for the first bit.
00:58 The world really is your oyster at Brighton Marina, shops, bars, restaurants, cinema. I feel I've only
01:06 just started, so I'm just going to carry straight on going round it on the undercliff path, still
01:11 the English coastal path. Just past the sign that tells us it was a mile and a half we've walked
01:17 from Brighton Marina, it's two more miles to Rottingdean and I think I might be saying that
01:24 path up the cliff there to the top road is your last chance to get out of here, if not you're
01:31 walking two miles, just so you know. I've discovered there actually are some steps off of the undercliff
01:38 path and they are here at Ovingdean, where there's also a little cafe and some beach huts.
01:44 With the right combination of clouds and the beach you can actually get some really dramatic photos
01:52 here. Just past Rottingdean, where of course you could just cut off up to get some refreshments,
02:00 have a look at the shops. I'm staying on the undercliff path and I am carrying on to Saltdean
02:06 Lido and if you remember that's where I started this massive adventure and that will mean I've
02:12 done the whole trip. So there we are, I have officially done it, I have circumnavigated
02:22 Brighton & Hove on the Brighton & Hove Way, hooray! Yes!
