00:02 Today is August 8, 2023 and I have an update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.

00:09 At the moment, we have a severe storm or tropical depression outside our area of responsibility.

00:16 It is here in the East-Northeast of the extreme northern Luzon.

00:20 We have not seen it enter our area of responsibility.

00:25 At the moment, it has no direct effect on any part of our country.

00:30 Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is still here in the Luzon area.

00:37 It will still bring heavy clouds and heavy rain in some parts of the northern Luzon.

00:45 In the most remote parts of our country, we will only experience isolated rain,

00:51 hail, and localized thunderstorms.

00:55 For the weather forecast for Tuesday,

00:59 we will still experience heavy clouds and heavy rain,

01:02 hail, and isolated thunderstorms.

01:05 It will be here in Batanes and Babuyan Islands,

01:08 as well as in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur,

01:11 where it will be hail.

01:12 Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and the most remote parts of our country,

01:17 in the most remote parts of the Luzon, we will generally experience fair weather conditions.

01:22 But we still have the chance of isolated or sudden rains,

01:27 sudden and brief rains,

01:29 hail and hail, especially in the afternoon and night,

01:33 hail and localized thunderstorms.

01:37 Our regional offices are issuing thunderstorm advisories

01:41 or warnings regarding these rains.

01:44 The temperature here in Metro Manila is between 27 to 31 degrees Celsius.

01:51 Meanwhile, in the parts of Visayas and Mindanao,

01:55 it will be cloudy today,

01:57 and the sky will be cloudy as well.

02:00 We still have the chance of isolated rains,

02:03 hail, and localized thunderstorms.

02:06 During severe thunderstorms,

02:08 these rains can still be moderate

02:11 until heavy rains,

02:14 where it can still cause flooding and landslides.

02:17 So, be careful for our fellowmen.

02:20 The temperature in Cebu is between 27 to 34 degrees Celsius,

02:25 and in Davao, it is 26 to 34 degrees Celsius.

02:30 And for the coastal areas of our country,

02:35 there is still a chance of hail,

02:36 and we still have the high-level gale warning.

02:39 In the coastal areas of the extreme northern Luzon,

02:42 particularly in Batanes,

02:44 northern coast of Ilocos Norte,

02:46 and northern coast of Cagayan,

02:48 along with Babuyan Islands,

02:50 where there is still a chance of flooding.

02:52 For our fellow fishermen,

02:55 and also for those who have small fishing boats.

02:58 And for the three-day outlook of the key cities of our country,

03:03 in the next three days,

03:04 from tomorrow Wednesday until Friday,

03:07 a large part of our country,

03:09 including Metro Manila, Baguio City,

03:12 Legazpi City, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao,

03:16 will experience a part of flooding,

03:18 up to a cloudy sky,

03:20 or generally, we will still experience a fair weather condition.

03:23 Aside from that, there are still chances of isolated rains,

03:28 especially in the afternoon and late evening,

03:30 of localized thunderstorms.

03:32 So, let's not forget our precautions

03:36 in the event of sudden rains.

03:38 The temperature here in Metro Manila

03:41 is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:44 In Baguio, it is 17 to 22.

03:47 In Legazpi, it is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.

03:51 In Metro Cebu, it is 26 to 34.

03:54 And in Metro Davao, it is 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.

03:59 Here in Metro Manila, the sun will rise later at 5.41 in the morning,

04:04 and set at 6.23 in the afternoon.
