00:00Good afternoon, here is an update on our Super Typhoon Leon.
00:07This is our latest satellite image.
00:11This is Leon, earlier at 4 in the afternoon,
00:14at a distance of 215 kilometers southeast of Basco Batanes.
00:19It is blowing strong winds of 185 kilometers per hour
00:23near the center and Bugso, which is also up to 230 kilometers per hour.
00:28It is moving northwest at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
00:33And we can see here in our satellite image,
00:36although the biggest impact of this Super Typhoon Leon
00:40is in the northern Luzon and eastern part of the Luzon area,
00:44its trough or extension is still possible to bring
00:48heavy rains and dark weather up to the Visayas area.
00:54This is what we see as possible track of Leon.
00:57So, we are hoping that this Super Typhoon Leon will continue.
01:27...landfalling scenario in the Batanes area.
01:35Even so, whether it landfalls or not,
01:37we still need to be careful
01:40because even if it does not landfall,
01:42we will still experience strong winds,
01:44especially in the extreme northern Luzon area
01:47and also in areas with signals.
01:51This peak intensity of this Super Typhoon Leon
01:54is possible to reach while approaching the Batanes area.
01:59And then, if it landfalls in the Taiwan area,
02:02it is possible that it will weaken.
02:05And then, the Philippine Area of Responsibility
02:09of this Super Typhoon Leon will be released tomorrow morning
02:11or Friday early morning.
