00:00 So my challenge is really, from a corporate standpoint,
00:03 it's about making sure that I'm sustaining
00:05 the same level of women and senior leadership.
00:08 We see a massive drop-off rate when women go
00:11 from middle managers to actually senior managers,
00:14 and those could be various reasons,
00:16 for children, for not having the agile working ability,
00:19 or not being mentored on their careers
00:21 to really make and drive growth as they should.
00:24 And I think that's the bias that I really want to change,
00:27 and this is something that I'm driving
00:30 with our other managers,
00:32 and we want to make men a part of the journey,
00:34 because it cannot just be women for women.
00:36 It needs to be, the societal change will only come
00:39 when men become part of that journey
00:41 and really drive that change together.
00:43 Women's empowerment for me is much deeper
00:45 than just at the top.
00:47 It's a societal change.
00:49 It's a change when everybody comes together
00:52 to form a new kind of family,
00:54 a family that's going to drive change
00:56 at the grassroot level.
00:58 That's when real change is going to happen.
01:01 That's when women's empowerment is going to happen,
01:03 when women are given choices.
01:05 I think lots has changed.
01:07 I think number one, awareness.
01:09 And earlier there was no awareness.
01:10 Today there is a lot of awareness,
01:12 whether it be in corporates and government sector,
01:15 and whether the government is putting in programs together
01:18 to make that change.
01:19 And I think education has been a big part of it.
01:22 So the only way, 10 years back,
01:25 people didn't even talk about these subjects.
01:27 Today people are talking about it and tackling it head on.
01:30 That's the kind of change that I see
01:32 and the difference that it's made over the last 10 years.
