00:00 Social media creator, support worker, caterer, 22-year-old Grace Corvo, known on social media
00:07 as Brisbane's lasagna dealer, is all three, and she likes it that way.
00:13 If someone asks me to work on a Saturday and I have a party, I don't want to have to say
00:18 yes.
00:19 She's one of a record number of Australians with more than one job. Almost 10% of workers
00:25 aged 18-25 find themselves in the same shoes, compared with less than 7% of workers 26-35.
00:32 I have three jobs. I work as a teacher, I work in retail and I work in a gallery as
00:39 well.
00:39 And while for some it's a choice, it's a necessity for many, with rising costs, especially rent.
00:46 I mainly am a support worker for kids. I also babysit around my neighbourhood and I sell

01:11 In fact, almost 40% of all casual workers are aged under 25. And some economists are
01:17 warning that a lack of stability and increased workload could lead to wider ramifications
01:22 for Gen Z.
01:22 They're quite dissatisfied with what's expected of them, with the number of hours they're
01:27 doing and this kind of workplace culture that we've created around going above and beyond
01:34 to get ahead in our careers.
01:35 But some say the fact so many young people are willing to work multiple jobs is a sign
01:40 of resilience.
01:41 Young people are hustlers and they're willing to do what they need to do to get to where
01:45 they need to be. They're hungry to have a positive future.
01:50 The changing nature of work could lead to a shift in mindset for young people.
01:54 And a lot of the time that's sort of the only place we gain value, is where our career takes
01:59 us.
