00:00 came in for you and I guess let's start with how did you kind of get the process
00:04 of when you went in the portal how did how did it how did it wind up in the
00:08 chain of that?
00:10 Yeah so I camped in there really well, learned a lot of football so far.
00:14 Played both really big, played a lot of good plays.
00:18 It's been a smooth transition though.
00:22 All the guys in the room are accepting and helping me out.
00:26 Learned a lot of plays. Just really learning how to coach coaches.
00:32 How I got here. So I ended up in the portal and
00:38 had a few conversations with Coach Jeff and Coach Brian
00:42 and thought this was the right place. I had opportunities to go
00:46 to other places but that's something I didn't want to do.
00:50 But I knew Coach Ross and Coach Westrop sent me to Purdue and I knew I could
00:54 see the ball around so that's something I want to be a part of.
00:58 That's a pretty full quarterback room. Why did you come in there?
01:02 There's a lot of us.
01:06 I would say that I looked at it as an opportunity rather than
01:10 I guess as everybody would say a competition.
01:14 Everybody runs around the race every day in life so I'm just running by right now.
01:18 When you look at how many quarterbacks they've played, you know what's going to be in
01:22 Purdue. They had to start a little bit. How comforting is that for you?
01:26 Is that for you with potential playing time and things like that?
01:30 Really I'm just taking it one day at a time. I didn't really look into
01:34 the quarterback situations they had then. I just looked at the football players they had on the field.
01:38 When I first thought about coming here I looked at the roster.
01:42 Seeing that they had a whole bunch of guys I didn't know for a while
01:46 that I played with in previous stops. But seeing that
01:50 it's a good opportunity to be around. Harrison you mentioned it's a thick playbook.
01:54 For a quarterback, what do you think makes this offense so attractive
01:58 that all these quarterbacks would want to come here and try to be a part of it?
02:02 I would say Coach Brian and Mastermind
02:06 and Coach DePaul. As one of the previous brothers said,
02:10 there's an answer for everything. We have so many plays
02:14 it's ridiculous.
02:18 I don't know if I've ever even learned it from my time.
02:22 We have literally an answer for everything.
02:26 For those of us who haven't seen you, what do you bring?
02:30 I'm an easy going guy that loves the ball.
02:34 What about as a player?
02:38 I'm a leader on the field. I'm going to score the ball. I'm going to flash you with my feet.
02:42 Sometimes I'll get moved.
02:46 What have you learned
02:50 from the very first time you entered college until now? How are you different
02:54 over the stops you've had?
02:58 How are the main things that you're different?
03:02 I'm more dedicated to the game than I was then.
03:06 I've really learned how to learn.
03:10 Whether we playbook or front coaches or what I've seen on the field.
03:14 Whatever it may be, I've learned how to learn in college.
03:18 [BLANK_AUDIO]
03:20 >> Good.
