00:06 23 ABC spoke to Brad Rubin, the sector manager of specialty crops for Wells Fargo.
00:11 He assesses the crop and ag industry for the bank.
00:15 He gave us an in-depth look into how the rain impacts farmers.
00:18 All in all, most farmers welcomed the majority of the rain that we received.
00:22 It helped relieve some of the drought conditions.
00:26 It helped fill some of the groundwater basins.
00:29 It did different things that were very positive.
00:33 And then there was definitely some farmers that were impacted, unfortunately.
00:37 Strawberry farmers in the Salinas Valley, for one.
00:40 Anybody growing in the Flattery Lake region definitely were impacted.
00:46 Overall, Rubin says some farmers may have mixed emotions about the rain,
00:51 but all of them, and most of them rather, are looking forward to the upcoming harvest.
