Transcript
00:00 Good morning everybody, it's just Steph Bateman at the Doncaster Free Press
00:03 bringing you the headlines from our website today. We're actually just putting the finishing touches
00:08 to tomorrow's paper but we'll obviously be updating the web as the day goes on. So first up,
00:14 a great story came out yesterday that Doncaster is to receive a second university technical college,
00:20 a UTC as it's better known. It's hoping to open its doors in 2025 and its aim is to broaden the
00:28 horizons of young people in the city. Its focus is going to be on health and well-being so that's
00:36 great news because it's one of only a handful that the government announced would to be built.
00:43 It was revealed yesterday morning actually. So yes, some good news finally.
00:49 Then not so good news, we've got a story regarding a former pub in a
00:55 Doncaster village that was attacked by arsonists in a late night blaze. We've got some video footage
01:03 and pictures of that incident for you to have a look at. And then finally, good news for GCSE
01:09 students tomorrow. Whatever your results, there's some free food and drink on offer. Frankie and
01:15 Bennies and Chiquitos will be giving out free pizzas, garlic bread, fizzy drinks to anyone
01:24 that can prove that they've got their GCSE. You just need to take your form along to one of their
01:28 branches and you'll get some free food. What's not to like about that? So if it's good results,
01:35 win a winner and if it's a bad result, you can commiserate over a nice pizza.
01:40 So for all those three stories and for anything else happening in Doncaster today,
01:45 just visit the website which is www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and I hope you have a great Wednesday.
01:52 Eh?
